Amnesty International publish report into Gender Critical movement in the UK

In May 2026, Amnesty International published an extensive analysis of the rise of media coverage and public discussion of the Gender Critical movement in the UK in a report entitled “Like a Snowball: The Growth and Impact of the Gender Critical Movement in the UK”.

In May 2026, Amnesty International published an extensive analysis of the rise of media coverage and public discussion of the Gender Critical movement in the UK in a report entitled “Like a Snowball: The Growth and Impact of the Gender Critical Movement in the UK. Two of the crucial findings in the report are the disproportionate level of coverage about trans people vis-à-vis the size of the trans population, and the near absence of the voices of transgender people themselves.
